If it despises other races like a fascist, salivates over ethnic cleansing like a fascist, does not believe in democracy as “the masses are brainwashed by the woke media” and has vivid fantasies of emerging victorious out of a race-based civil war, despite no such indications in real life – it’s not an ostrich; it’s a fascist.

Next year will mark a decade since many “common sense” progressivism sceptics sold out their principles (if they had them in the first place, which I doubt) for MAGA, QAnon and Farage-fluffer reinforcements to their YouTube audiences. It was lucrative. Some doubled, trebled, quadrupled their follower count.

They are now beholden to extremists, whatever they may personally think about the state of the world. Their purse leads them by the nose, into placating evermore extreme stances on immigration, down to overt racism and dehumanising certain groups (African refugees, Muslims etc.).

Common talking points

The genocide in Gaza “isn’t happening”; do not believe your lying eyes. Don’t believe scores of human rights organisations, doctors, journalists on site, documenting everything they can before they themselves are killed by the IDF. Hell, don’t believe Israeli state leaders themselves when they talk bout ethnic cleansing. Don’t believe the footage of Israeli settlers destroying aid trucks for starving children you can see images of. Just don’t believe your lying eyes and ears, will you? Trust these truthers instead; they know how the world really works.

The housing crisis in their countries isn’t caused by private equity firms buying properties on a conveyor belt, outbidding ordinary people; it’s all because of asylum seekers living in makeshift prisons or tents, who came over with nothing but the clothes on their backs, risking their lives. They run the property market now. The displacement of masses of people after western interference in their countries is inconsequential; how dare they emigrate like anyone seeking to survive would? Outrageous. How dare these people try to live? Us Europeans would never be that determined to stay alive.

When immigrants of a different skin colour have sex, they do it to breed, outnumber natives and take over their countries; they don’t just shag like the rest of the planet and happen to procreate naturally. Didn’t you know that every time a foreign penis enters a foreign vagina, it does so in the service of a grand design to eliminate whiteness in Europe?

Trump, the convicted criminal (on so many counts), is still a beacon of light, not lifelong corruption and exploitation of workers, by himself and his family. Farage, who demonstrably lied about Brexit, is a hero of the British working class, now poverty-stricken. Take Reform’s own words for it, in this series of statements obtained by online journalist Femi from Reform candidates, to whom they admitted Brexit was going to prolong poverty for decades, but was “still worth it”. You know what that means. Proponents were already well off, their families were and would continue to be well off, as most of the population suffered, and would continue to suffer towards their mirage. Was this what they sold to the British public? You tell me.

Here’s why I’m writing this: far right public speakers, perplexingly, claim to be anti-establishment, while spewing US state and UK Tory/ far right/ “Labour” propaganda (indistinguishable at this point, when it comes to vilifying immigrants, promising austerity and supporting Israel’s genocide).

The only difference? “Truthers” don’t like Pride events. They don’t like people of colour featured “excessively” in films (just peek at Dave Cullen’s thumbnails and a commonality may strike you). They don’t like incidental manifestations of the “woke”, only indulged by the establishment to create a thin veneer of supporting the marginalised. That’s it.

They’re down with proven corruption (cough-cough, Trump), land grabs, unbridled capitalism, monopolies, persecution of journalists, stifling of peace protests and suppression of free speech. They’re down with apartheid and genocide. They just don’t like people of colour and cabaret by men in dresses.

  1. Regurgitating mainstream media war propaganda

The first thing these people will tell you is don’t watch TV. It’s good advice.

If you did watch it, you would realise they are spewing the exact same Israeli war propaganda as news presenters across the US and Europe (you know, those ladies in their 30s, with an identical haircut, dressing style and tone, as if they had no personality whatsoever, who all read from the same script).

The lying mainstream media (copyright, their hero, Donald Trump) has suddenly stopped lying and distorting.

The messaging in support of Israel today echoes weapons of mass destruction and you must support the troops, mantras of the Iraq war in 2003, on steroids. Today, it’s Hamas, October 7th, Hamas, Hamas, Hamas. All day, every day, all historical context and current atrocities, i.e. a genocide, completely ignored (not to mention the expulsion and persecution of Palestinians in the West Bank, where there’s no Hamas).

Some of these “truthers” were against the Iraq war; some were even in uproar about Israel’s massacres and blockade in Gaza, back when they hadn’t decided that for their own political convenience, Palestinian lives were worth nothing. My question is very simple – how can they justify being horrified by the actions of Adolf Hitler at this point? They can’t disavow one genocide while actively supporting another.

The strangest thing is that their audiences, hell-bent on rejecting mainstream narratives of any kind (even the Earth being spheric) can’t make that connection.

2. Contempt for journalists and whistleblowers who reveal classified information

What did Julian Assange, who is finally free, do to deserve 12 years of confinement, more than 5 of which he spent in a maximum security prison? Along with his team at Wikileaks, he revealed “classified information” pertaining to the US (read damning in the eyes of the public, otherwise it wouldn’t be hidden in the first place).

Out come the imperialism apologists, the MAGA cocaine vending machines, spewing their theories of Assange being a CIA plant, an actor and so forth; a false hero providing the masses with false hope. Hope of what? Of one day having to falsely plead guilty in court to save one’s life? Of not dying after immense suffering?

On what planet does Assange’s story inspire hope? Hunted down and charged with a non-crime for an Australian citizen, 12 years locked up, 5 of them in solitary confinement? All for engaging in groundbreaking journalism the world needed to see? Audiences entertaining such theories are fascinating – when every bit of evidence proves the opposite.

Again, those who dismiss or vilify Assange are in line with the mainstream media, which very briefly described his freedom as an exhilarating event for himself, his family and those protesting for him. Have a look at these more recent titles:

The unvoiced, but very clear message is to ignore what Assange published – namely evidence against the US war machine. Whoever comes out with similar information in the future should be ignored as well. See no evil, hear no evil. Some even dub him a criminal, while claiming to desperately await the awakening of the dormant masses in relation to the establishment.

The same characters have an identical approach to Snowden, while screeching that they’re being spied on by governments 24/7. Yet when someone brings forth proof of mass spying and data collection by the US, they repudiate him. Who is the actual plant, actor, sellout in this scenario? You tell me.

This is so ironic from people doling out lists of enemy groups to their followers on the daily; telling them what’s wrong with the world. Ignore the war machine; ignore massacres and land grabs; ignore deep state spying; focus on men in wigs putting on a drag show on some alley. That’s what’s really wrong with the world.

3. Claiming “the Middle East has nothing to do with Europe”

This is a very strange case to make, and some even tell that to their US audiences, as if US tax dollars weren’t funding Israel directly. Public speakers who want to preserve a modicum of not sounding like psychopaths urge their audiences to ignore Israel’s actions and focus exclusively on their own back yard.

A number of countries in Europe, the UK and Germany included, not only support the genocide but sell arms to Israel, as well as enacting draconian censorship policies, affecting their own populations. The Israel lobby in the US and UK is so powerful that it successfully pushes for repressive laws, such as redefining antisemitism as anti-Zionism, and for journalists or news commentators to be fired.

In the UK, Sangita Myska is one example; she was fired by LBC for rightfully grilling an Israeli spokesperson. Likewise, Brianna Joy Gray, who worked for morally bankrupt US company The Hill, was recently let go for her commentary on Israel. Katie Halper was also fired by The Hill’s morning show, Rising, for the same reason. Mark Lamont Hill was fired by CNN. I can go on and on.

While cracking down on a peace conference for Palestine this year, Germany denied entry to former Finance Minister of Greece, Yanis Varoufakis, for his intention to participate. The same conference busting saw Jewish activists for peace arrested. Apparently, a sign displaying “Jews against genocide” was offensive.

The US, UK and Germany are cracking down on their own citizens, including Jews, at the request of Israeli lobbyists and Netanyahu. The latter publicly demanded action be taken against US students protesting the genocide, which the US complied with, sending police to brutally suppress the free speech of these young people. Yes, free speech, which is enshrined in the US constitution and which these amoral right wing sellouts harp on about whenever a racist needs defending.

The far right is very fond of the word “traitor” at the moment. What would you call the above-mentioned?

We can add the fear of Palestinian refugees coming to Europe. This one is such a mindfuck that it would almost be funny if it weren’t real. Alas, it is. Let’s leave out the fact that Palestinians are defending their land and as a people, have no wish to be expelled, as the Israelis are attempting to do.

It’s an admission of the fact that a war sponsored by the US and Europe is creating refugees for the umpteenth time, namely this is how refugees are created, yet they don’t see these wars as a problem, but the mere prospective attempt of said refugees to keep on living. That’s the actual problem, right?

You can’t have your cake and eat it, psychos. You can’t support mass murder and displacement and then complain when your country, who is helping carry it out, is affected in some manner.

4. Claiming they’re sick of corrupt politicians and criminals

Then worshipping Trump and performing a certain act until the bastion of depravity, entitlement and corruption can feel their metaphorical tonsils. Trump is not a criminal, they claim – he’s a maverick.

These people have no regard for man-made laws at all. Some claim to espouse metaphysical laws, according to their own religions, but in such a vague and shifty manner that they appear to have no principles. Their principles shift from one topic to another, so as to benefit the “party line”.

5. Claiming borders and national sovereignty should be held as sacred

Until, that is, the state of Israel comes into play, and all rules are annihilated, along with international law and any kind of law, man-made or religiously inspired, on the face of this planet. Nothing applies anymore.

I could go on for another 10 hours.

These individuals and groups demonstrably don’t have the interest of “commoners” like you and me, however populist their rhetoric may appear on occasion. Their methods are tried and tested, and are the very same ones the National Socialists used 80 years ago in Germany: unseen cabals with unprovable plots, minority groups and “degeneracy”, turning their followers into an army of Don Quixotes, fighting imaginary enemies, while psychopaths do as they please under their noses.

They are not fighting against actual corrupt and psychopathic power; they are courting it, ass-kissing it, deepthroating it, defending it to the high heavens, in a vomit-inducing manner. They worship authoritarianism and amorality (should they worship anything at all, as opposed to being mere grifters trying to get by opportunistically).
